Jammu, Apr 02 (KNO): Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party Thursday decided to launch agitation against the domicile policy for Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory announced by Government of India. The party's senior leader and former minister Harsh Dev Singh also staged day-long Dharna in Jammu. According to wire service—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Singh in his statement said that BJP government in Delhi has made a cruel joke with youth of Jammu and Kashmir through this new domicile law. "At the time of downgrading the Jammu and Kashmir from State to UT, it was openly announced by BJP that the jobs of youth of J&K shall be protected and a domicile law as demanded by public across the Union Territory shall be implemented," Singh said, adding that the BJP have befooled the masses in broad day light and has now announced a draconian domicile law. "There can be no big injustice with the youth that only their fourth class jobs have been protected and rest all made open and every youth of Jammu and Kashmir is feeling dejected." Singh further said in his media statement during dharna. "Domicile law is a dacoity committed on the rights of youth of Jammu and Kashmir." Singh said. He asked BJP leaders to go on roads and to talk to youth of Jammu and Kashmir and to see themselves how they are feeling dejected and cheated at the hands of Bhartiya Janta Party leadership and government. Singh further accused government of coming up with an anti-people law at a time when entire India is under lockdown due to Corona virus. "This time has been chosen to bring out anti people domicile law as people cannot come out on roads due to COVID19 pandemic but BJP and government will have to face the consequences of anger developed in the souls of youth after this new law," Singh added –(KNO)
